Kenya is gearing up to host Burundi and Cote d'Ivoire. Wanyama expressing his readiness to return under specific conditions, stressed the importance of capitalising on home matches to secure vital points.
The midfielder, who recently retired from international duty spoke to Radio 47 saying:
"Gabon was a significant challenge, but the boys gave their best. Against Seychelles, they performed well, and we still have a chance to make it. The secret is to take advantage of home matches and maximize those points," Wanyama asserted in an interview with Radio 47.”
The 32-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur man, currently playing for Major League Soccer (MLS) club CF Montreal, remains a viable option for the national team despite his retirement.
In the World Cup qualifying campaign, Kenya finds itself in Group F alongside Seychelles, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Burundi, and Gabon.
